Position Description
Grace Church is seeking a Lead Pastor for a full time position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to effectively preach the whole of Scripture in context, with practical application to daily living. You will also possess pastoral and people skills including: administrating, leading, caregiving, encouraging, empathizing, supporting, and coaching. You should be approachable and perceptive in your dealings with individuals. You will be committed to maintaining the Evangelical Free Church ethos, the priesthood of all believers including gender equality, and a congregational style of church governance.
Primary Responsibilities

Providing pulpit ministry

Providing administration (including direct supervision of the Office Administrator)

Qualifications

Seminary training from a recognized theological institution preferred 10 years pastoral experience preferred

Professional or work experience outside of pastoral ministry considered an asset

Experience in the Evangelical Free Church denomination an asset

Experience in ministry to the Chinese community an asset
Employment Details
This is a full time salaried position. Compensation will be commensurate with training and experience; to be negotiated according to guidelines of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada.
Who we are:
Grace Church currently has a membership of approximately 60, plus additional adherents. We have a missional focus on local, national and overseas missions. In particular, we are currently leading a successful Griefshare program with the majority of participants coming from the community. Our Chinese Fellowship is running the Alpha program as an outreach to university students and the Chinese community in Thunder Bay. We are involved with a variety of Christian ministries supporting local food distribution, Indigenous ministries, Bible camps, our neighbourhood elementary school, worldwide medical equipment distribution (MEMO), and ministries to seniors.
